OK who am I? Where do I come from and whats my story?

My Name is Ron Rodwell and I live in the UK with my wife Jean. We have been married for 10 years but have been together for 25 years and we are very happy (especially now the the kids have flown the nest).
Jean is very supportive of my internet ambitions but does not like to get involved! She is a bit of a technophobe.
We live in a small village in South Wales called Llandybie which is in Carmarthenshire

I bought my first computer in 2001 to see what they were all about! Having never played with one before it was fun pressing all the buttons to see how they work. The number of times it crashed on me was laughable and I had some fantastic fun with it.

I never new affiliate marketing or even network marketing was about back then, I just used my computer to browse the information super highway, It was just a hobby then and i loved it.
What happened then was i came across and ad for making money on the internet!! I was intrigued so I took a closer look and bang I was hooked. I thought wow this is fantastic you, you can make money from this computer?? I’ll have some of that.
7 Years and hundreds maybe thousands of dollars later I was no further forward. I knew there was a way to do this but all I did was hop from one biz opp to another not learning any thing, Or so I thought! Little did I know that information was actually soaking into my brain I knew how to do a lot of this but I was just to scared to take action?? Why you may ask? well the answer is simple I wasn’t scared to to do any thing I was scared of failing!!! Imagine that?

Then I lost my job which was my only source of income. The debts started to mount up and the thought of all those years and money wasted was starting to play on my mind, What was I going to do?
I had to take action.
A few days later I was looking to see which was the best way forward when I got a phone call from someone I knew who offered me a good paying Job which I took as I still had bills to pay.
I vowed from that day I would never get caught again like that.
Then in November last year I received an invite to go to the 02 Arena to an Entrepreneurs Boot Camp held by Andrew Reynolds.
So I booked my ticket and off I went, When I got there I went to my seat and looked around, There were 7000 people there I could not believe it, I thought how can so many people be interested in the same thing as me in the same place???
To Be honest it was the first event like this I had attended and I thought it was a bit of a pitch fest.
At the same time though there was a massive amount of content and I took loads of notes which I use today. I met some of the speakers but unfortunately never took my camera. The speakers were Andrew Reynolds, Armand Morin, Brett Mcfall, Kirt Kristianson, Andy Harrington,
Simon Coulson, Christopher Howard, Tom Hua, and Joel Comm all internet guru’s and highly regarded on the internet.
The funny thing is they all had a similar story to mine and they started with nothing.
I was just blown away and more importantly I realised that its not just them who can do it I can do it as-well.
As soon as I got back I decided to take action and get a blog going on Affiliate Marketing. I was suprised to have a word-press blog after only 2 days, I thought wow all that time previously wasted. I had done something about it.

I thought I should get traffic from this!! How wrong was I.
I wasn’t even close to getting traffic even though I had reviews on my blog.
The reason I knew this is that just the same day as I launched my Blog
I was browsing for information on other blogs and I came across a blog called Marketing With You By Alex Jeffrey’s. He was inviting people to submit comments on his blog about why you should get a free place on his coaching course. He was going to pick 3 people to win. He in fact picked 6 and I was very lucky to be one of them. Thank you Alex!
I was really excited now because I started to do a bit of research on Alex and all I could find were positive comments.

But suffice to say that Alex in the first couple of weeks has taught me that its not enough to just review opportunities on my blog and to try and get paid from it.
You have to be seen to give value to your subscribers by way of free information and content let them know that they are valued and build up a good relationship with them, Its about not just taking but giving as-well.
I have learned some valuable lessons in the couple of weeks I have been on this course. Thanks to Alex and to Matt Wolfe who looked at my blog and gave me some helpful information.
I am hoping to move forward this year and my one aim this year is to become financilly free
I just have to keep taking action.
